Meet Travis Castle

Three women and one man standing together in an office, with a service dog sitting in front of them. The man is wearing a gray plaid suit with a blue tie, and two women are in casual dresses. The office has a blue wall with an official seal or logo partially visible.

Travis Castle is the hard-working fighter we need to represent the communities of San Joaquin County as our supervisor.

Travis Castle brings the dedication San Joaquin County needs for the Board of Supervisors position. He represents ordinary people because he is not a career politician. As a firefighter and paramedic for over twenty years, Travis answered emergency calls during our most challenging times. Through his work as a firefighter and paramedic, he witnessed firsthand the direct effects of homelessness and poverty and systemic breakdowns.

His experience motivated him to establish Path to Humanity, which works to develop improved support networks for families, poverty reduction strategies, and essential resources for organizations serving unsheltered crisis-affected neighbors.

Proud of his family heritage, Travis continues to maintain his ranch. Castle Farms started in 1973 in Elk Grove, California by his grandfather, Allan Ban. Travis and his children continue to maintain the farm in Acampo by raising goats, rabbits, and honey bees. They continue his grandpa’s legacy by preserving their connection to the land. Travis understands the importance of responsibility because he learned it from his mother, Beverly Castle, and stepfather, Donald Ban. His family showed him to value honesty and hard work. Inspired by his stepfather’s steady guidance, he chose to follow in his footsteps and dedicate himself to a career in firefighting.

Travis started his firefighting career on September 11, 2001, when he experienced both tragedy and heroism that defined his future work. Travis dedicated himself to serving others after that day. He is driven by a strong sense of duty and a willingness to make sacrifices for others. From that moment forward, Travis carried with him a deep sense of duty, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to others.

Through his experience as a parent of children who attend public school and a community leader, Travis observes how county government fails families by spending millions on construction waste and internal conflicts, and allowing outside groups to control decision-making. Cost overruns on government construction projects in the millions of dollars have plagued county government; divisive infighting and bickering have failed our residents. It’s time for better.

Travis has experienced our streets firsthand while responding to 911 emergencies and providing support to families during their most challenging times. The time has come for him to defend our community as a member of the Board of Supervisors.

He seeks to protect San Joaquin County from developer exploitation that threatens our resources, while ensuring the county government serves the people, not special interest groups. Travis knows the stakes because he lived them. He literally has walked our streets in service to our neighborhoods as a first responder. He’s running to protect San Joaquin County from greedy Los Angeles developers who want to steal our water and to keep our cities safe.

The people of San Joaquin County can depend on Travis Castle to protect them through his proven experience , work ethic, and commitment to our community.
