Agriculture
The agricultural land in San Joaquin County is among the most productive in the United States. The agricultural sector in this area represents more than commercial operations: It’s a way of life.
The economy of our region relies heavily on agriculture, a tradition that has been passed down through generations as a source of pride. Agriculture holds a special meaning for Travis because he comes from a farming family that has operated in San Joaquin County for more than 50 years. The family business in Acampo has been operating, raising livestock, producing honey and managing their agricultural land with dedication.
The struggles of farmers and ranchers are familiar to him, including increasing expenses, shifting climates, and unstable markets. The Board of Supervisors will find in Travis Castle a dedicated supporter who will protect the agricultural sector of San Joaquin County. The protection of agricultural land from uncontrolled development and the fight for equal access to available resources will be his main priorities. Farmers and ranchers will always receive representation in policy-making processes. The protection and growth of agriculture for future generations will be ensured by Travis when he serves on the Board of Supervisors.

“Farming and agriculture are more than business in San Joaquin County. They are the heart of who we are, the very identity of our community. I will always stand with our farmers and ranchers and defend their rights.”
